`The Cherry Orchard South of France` Original Painting Watercolour/Acrylics.
By Robert Butler
A cherry orchard in the south of France, where I replenished the piggy bank by cherry picking for a week, enjoyed the lunches prepared and supplied by the lady of the house, drank lots of wine, ate the sweetest of cherries and slept beneath the stars to enjoy the cool of the night after the constant heat of the day.
Painted during my wanderings around France as a young man in 1960.
The painting has been tissue wrapped and dry stored for almost sixty years and is in perfect condition.
